EXPLORING THE S BLOCK: AN ELEMENT COUNT

The S block consists of the alkali metals and alkaline earth metals. These elements are defined by their one valence electron(s) in their highest shell. Studying the S block provides a fundamental understanding of atomic interactions. A total of twelve elements are found within this group, each with its own unique traits. Grasping these properties
